TEST RESULTS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY BUILDING TECHNOLOGY CENTER

This was the first test performed on the Initial Reiker Prototype. The test proved that the Reiker Room Conditioner provides even temperatures throughout a room, from the ceiling to the floor and keeps warm air from stagnating at the ceiling.

The 12-foot by 16-foot test room for the Reiker Room Conditioner Prototype consisted of concrete walls, a steel ceiling, tile floor, and two large non-insulated windows. During the test the outside temperature was a cold 26 degrees Fahrenheit, 6 degrees below freezing. Temperature gauges were placed throughout the room at the ceiling, mid room, and at floor level to gauge the temperature stratification during the test. The temperature rose from a cool and uncomfortable 60 degrees to a warm 75 degrees in just three hours and, as you can see from the graph the temperatures were virtually equal throughout the room. The scientists running this initial test were impressed with the ability of the Reiker Room Conditioner to break up stratification and maintain even temperatures. The Reiker room Conditioner has accomplished what conventional heating systems have fallen short of, it puts the heat where the people are rather than letting it rise to the ceiling and dissipate.
