Reiker Room Conditioner FAQ's

Is the Reiker Room Conditioner a fan or heater?  It is both, a ceiling fan and revolutionary heating device built into one.  Use the fan for summer cooling.  During cold winter months, use the fan/heater to efficiently and effectively heat your home, office, garage, etc.

Does The Reiker Room Conditioner come with a Remote Control?  Yes, one remote control is included with every fan! (Excluding manual pull chain models)  Extra remotes can also be purchased from us.

What size room will the fan heat? An incredible 20ft x 20 ft x 10 ft high, on average a room sized at about 400 sq. ft.


How do I turn the fan on/off?  The Reiker Room Conditioner is controlled by the supplied handheld remote control.  Simply push the power button, push the heat button (if you want heat), set the desired temperature and let Reiker Room Conditioner do the rest.

Is the fan multi-speed?  Yes, it will operate at high/medium/low.

How bright is the light on the fan?  The light uses approximately 30 watts of power and produces approximately 2000 lumens, the equivalent of a 150 watt incandescent light bulb.

Is the light on the fan dimmable?  No.  Replacement bulbs are available at most home improvement type stores.

How much money can I save using the Reiker Room Conditioner to heat my room?  When heating - Based on a 8.3 cents per kilowatt hour (used as an average national cost bases for the price of electricity), approximately 5 cents per hour to operate. When cooling less than 1 cent per hour to operate. 

What is zone heating?  Lower your central thermostat and heat only the rooms you occupy to a comfortable level.

Is the Reiker room conditioner safe?  The unit is mounted on the ceiling away from children and pets.  The fan also carries an Underwriters Laboratory (UL) listing for safety.

How advanced is the Reiker Room Conditioner?  It is revolutionary.  With its initial warm up all four heating elements are activated.  Just prior to reaching your desired temperature one heating element shuts off.  When the desired room temperature is reached only two heating elements are required.  Once the room becomes "seasoned" power is reduced to one heating element.

How does the fan know when to turn heating elements on/off?  The remote control and receiver work in conjunction with each other to automatically sense the ambient air temperature and adjust as needed.

Can the fan be flush mounted to the ceiling?  Yes.

Are down rods available?  The fan comes with 6"down rods.  12", 18" and 24" down rods are available.  The 24" down rod is the max. that should be used on this fan for heating (otherwise heating becomes ineffective).

How bright is the light on the fan?  The light on the fan is a 30 watt compact fluorescent bulb, which is the equivalent of about a 150 watt incandescent.

What is the warranty of the Reiker Room conditioner? Limited liifetime on the fan motor, 1 year parts and labor.

Does the fan come without the light?  Unfortunately, it does not.

How many pounds does the fan weigh? 35 lbs.

Can the fan be installed on a  porch or outdoors?  No, it is not rated for outdoor use.

Can the fan be installed on cathedral or vaulted ceilings?  Yes, the fan has a universal ball hanging system.  However, heating effectiveness will be lost in ceilings over 15' high.

Can the fan be used as a sole source of heat for a sunroom or glass enclosed room?  No, but it can be used for supplemental heating.

What is the maximum temperature setting on the remote control?  90 Degrees Fahrenheit.  Depending on the size of the room, the unit on average will warm the room to 80 degrees plus. 

What if I have multiple fans?  Multiple units can be set so each remote controls each fan individually, this is done via dip switch settings on the fan.

How about quality?  The Reiker Room conditioner should be considered the Rolls Royce of ceiling fans.  Made with high quality parts such as the fan's impeller which draws air into the heating module comes from Switzerland.  Reiker has a minimum of six 100% quality checks on each of the fans transmitters and receivers.  There is a 12 hour burn in period on the components to ensure every customer receives the same high quality Reiker Room Conditioner.

How low can the thermostat be set?  40 degrees is the lowest it can be set.

What is the difference between the Standard & Eco Models?  The fan blades on the standard models are 54", while the Eco models are 52".  The styles are a little different, the internal heating elements and remote control are the same.

What are the pull chain models?  The pull chain models are less expensive as they do not include the thermostatic remote control.  Operation of the fan is done via pull chains.  When using the fan for heating, 3 indicator lights on the base of the fan tell you what heat setting the fan is on, either high/medium or low.

How long does it take to get my fan? Orders placed via our website are usually shipped the same or next business day.  Delivery is can be expected within 3-5 business days.  We provide tracking information via email once the fan has shipped.  If there is a delay, we will contact you.
